Dongfeng M18 is China’s 1,070HP Electric SUV

Image
“High-end electric off-road brand,” was how Chinese automaker Dongfeng described itself. And to complete this claim, they made their own Hummer EV. It’s a pity, to tell you quite honestly. China has been making strides in the EV market, but they still continue making cheap knockoffs. Its 2022 yet “Made in China” still proves to be synonymous with shameless fake goods. The Dongfeng M18 is the EV version of the M50 Warrior – China’s infamous Hummer wannabe. This attempt to make an EV off-roader is the company’s answer to its market demand, as the government supports the EV transition, and as more people embrace more western-influenced products. In order to sell this, of course they had to impress people with (inflated) numbers. So here’s what the Dongfeng M18 has: One 800Kw motor making 1,070 horsepower 0-62 miles per hour in under 5 seconds 140kWh battery, with a range of 311 miles Weighs 6,384 pounds About 17 feet long, and over 7 feet wide

Harley-Davidson’s electric spin-off brand LiveWire has made a bold statement. 100,000 electric motorcycles sold in 2026, and shifting of 190,000 units before the end of the decade. A wild claim considering the fact that this industry has yet to gain traction. But if there is something Harley-Davidson has been good at, it is brand longevity. In a highly-competitive world of motorcycle manufacturing, the company has made it through the ups and downs. Their effective business practices also earned them their reputation. Because of this, their LiveWire branch has been able to make strategic moves including partnerships and mergers, which may direct the company to go public and make it open to all investors. Other reports expect the company to launch a new motorcycle model around the second half of 2022 named Del Mar. The said electric motorcycle will be built on the brand’s proprietary Arrow platform as reports claim. In terms of business, an investor relations document revealed that the c...

Ducati unveiled its new XDiavel Nera, a 500-unit limited-edition motorcycle made in collaboration with lux Italian interior design company Poltrona Frau.  Mechanically, the Nera is identical to the XDiavel base model equipped with a 160-horsepower Testastretta DVT L-twin. The chassis, suspension, wheels, tires, and everything else will be carried over from the base XDiavel S to the Nera, therefore riding dynamics will be virtually unchanged. The cosmetic upgrade includes a different seat and black-on-black paint, with the brake calipers and valve covers painted in Ducati Red while the forged Marchesini wheels will be finished in gloss black. Poltrona Frau refers to this posh hand-crafted natural leather “Pelle Frau,” which the company claimed to have undergone a special tanning process that helped it breath better.
